JOB TITLE: Assistant Project Manager/Project Coordinator/Project Engineer
STATUS: Full-Time
DESCRIPTION: Position reports directly to the Principal/Partner who is responsible for the Design and Construction of mixeduse
and apartment projects. Oversees project/construction management efforts where assigned for the company and as such
manages multiple, deadline-oriented tasks in fast-paced environment.
DUTIES not limited to, but including, the following:
- Augment overseeing project contracts with architects and general contractors.
- Supervises architects and general contractors in all construction projects to which they are assigned.
- Coordinates and attends construction meetings attended by contractors, consultants, and architects.
- Provides direction and approval for problem resolution.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for changes orders.
- Reviews and approves payment of invoices and payment applications from architects, contractors, and
- consultants.
- Utilize filing protocol and procedures (electronic and hard-copy)
REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to compose, proofread, spell check and edit correspondence. Ability to read, understand and
interpret construction drawings. Ability to read and interpret construction schedules. Demonstrate organizational and clerical
skills including basic math calculations and records maintenance. Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, oral,
telephone). Demonstrate ability to listen to and accurately interpret instructions. Must be a team player with the ability to
adjust to changing situations and priorities. Must be able to adapt to ever changing technology. Ability to keep organized.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS: Working knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook,
and Project. Knowledge of Yardi Accounting Software is helpful. Valid drivers license required. Utilize self-discipline, critical
thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to self-direct. Exercise attention to detail. Adhere to high quality standards
in all written and oral communications. Cooperate fully with instructions from management. Maintain ability to work both
independently and with others in a professional, productive, and cooperative manner.
REQUIRED SKILL LEVELS
• Reading Construction Plans: Intermediate
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project: Intermediate proficiency
• Zoom: Intermediate; ability to send invite, screen share, etc.
• Adobe and Procore: Basic proficiency
• Grammar, Oral & Written Communication: Proficient
• Calculator: Basic skills and willingness to learn
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Relevant experience could substitute.
EXPERIENCE: Six months to two years in related project management or internship positions
SALARY: Negotiable, depending on qualifications, experience, and skills
OFFICE LOCATION: Newport Beach; Project job sites: Inland Empire and Eastern San Gabriel Valley
DRIVING: Access to a vehicle and ability to drive to project sites several days per week
