Summer Program for Law Students

Summer Program for Law Students

Summer Program for Law Students

Cox Castle’s summer program provides second-year law students with a challenging and realistic law firm experience. Our program gives students a chance to interact with our team members to gain an understanding of the firm's culture. We believe that our people, the quality of our work product, and our overall working environment truly distinguishes us from other top law firms. Indeed, a large percentage of our partners were former summer associates and have spent their entire careers at the firm.

A typical summer class ranges from two to four students. The smaller size fosters a very friendly environment and enables us to give each student individualized attention and training. Our summer associates work on varied, interesting transactional and litigation projects, and generally receive prompt and constructive feed-back on their work.

We provide regular opportunities for our summer associates to directly observe closings, client meetings, mediations, depositions, trials, and other aspects of our practice. The education and training our summer associates receive through in-house seminars and hands-on legal work are an invaluable learning experience. If an associate enters the summer with a particular interest (or develops one during the summer), we will make every effort to expose him or her to the varied aspects of that practice area and the attorneys and clients who work in the area.

The goal of our summer program is to enable our summer associates to gain an understanding of the professional and personal advantages of practicing at our firm while giving us the chance to learn about their interests and talents.

The attorneys with whom you work evaluate your work and will provide you with prompt feedback. You also will receive mid-summer and end-of-summer reviews.
