Industry Leaders Honored at NAIOP SoCal Annual Awards Gala 
Brett Dedeaux of Dedeaux Properties Inducted into NAIOP SoCal Hall of Fame 

Los Angeles, CA (May 11, 2026) – Hundreds of commercial real estate industry professionals celebrated the best of the best in commercial real estate at NAIOP SoCal’s Annual Awards. Recognized as the leading commercial real estate trade association in Southern California, NAIOP SoCal honored industry leaders across 20 categories during its May 7 event held in downtown Los Angeles at the California Club. The chapter also extends a special thank you to Awards Committee Chair Jodie Poirier for emceeing the event and helping make the evening such a success.

“I am inspired by the talent and dedication across our sector. The NAIOP SoCal Awards set the benchmark for recognizing excellence in Southern California’s commercial real estate industry,” said Timothy Jemal, CEO, NAIOP SoCal. “It was an honor to celebrate individuals distinguished by exceptional achievements—whether through their impact on the Southern California real estate community or their commitment to NAIOP SoCal. I extend my congratulations to all awardees, finalists, sponsors, and committee members who contributed to the event’s success,” he added.

During the Gala, the NAIOP SoCal presented two People’s Choice Awards that were decided by an online vote prior to the event. The winners included Contractor of the Year Shawmut Design and Construction and Principal/Owner/Developer of the Year 9th St. Partners, LLC.

The chapter also recognized individuals who provided outstanding service to NAIOP SoCal as well as exceptional young leaders. The NAIOP SoCal Distinguished Service Award was presented to Justin McCusker, C.J. Segerstrom & Sons. The NAIOP SoCal Member of the Year was awarded to David Salisbury, US Bank. Patrick Enrich, of Tectra Construction received the Developing Leader of the Year Award.

California State Assemblymember Juan Carrillo (AD-39) received the 2025 Public Partner of the Year honoring his leadership, collaboration and support of policies that promote economic growth, regulatory clarity, and responsible development for California’s commercial real estate and goods movement industries. “I’m honored to receive NAIOP SoCal’s 2025 Public Partner of the Year award and proud to join so many leaders who are shaping the future of California’s economy and communities. Together, we can continue advancing smart, sustainable growth that creates opportunity and delivers for working families across our state,” said Asm. Carrillo (D-Palmdale).

A highlight of the night was the induction of Brett Dedeaux, Chief Executive and Managing Member of Dedeaux Properties, into the NAIOP SoCal Hall of Fame. Individuals inducted into the Hall of Fame exemplify vision, leadership, community engagement and an unwavering commitment to Southern California commercial real estate industry.

Upon receiving the award, Dedeaux remarked, “I’m truly honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This recognition reflects the relationships, partnerships, and teamwork that have defined my career in industrial real estate. I’m grateful to the clients, colleagues, and mentors who have been part of this journey, and I remain excited about the future of our industry."
