Construction Project Manager

The Project Manager is the main liaison between Servco and its clients and vendors, managing between roughly four to eight sites. This role works closely with the client, president, project coordinator and various multiplicities on project goals, timelines and expectations. This role is also engaged at various field locations (OC/LA) to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. The critical tasks include:

· Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other team members.
· Delegating and scheduling field staff and subcontractors while managing their responsibilities.
· Complying with building codes and legal requirements.
· Explaining and reporting project progress to the client and team.
· Preparing and reporting budget and cost estimates along with other worktables and gathering data required to prepare lump sum, unit rate and cost-plus detailed estimates.
· Using client service skills to find solutions with our clients in a thoughtful, positive and professional manner.
· Demonstrating deep working knowledge and understanding of building codes and ensure the work being done is in compliance with all rules and regulations.
· Supervising subcontractors and other staff in the field, and overseeing the construction activities that occur on the worksite.

How you will excel in your role:

• Meet operational standards by resolving problems, contributing information to strategic plans, and identifying improvements.
• Timely documentation and filing of all field reports and email correspondence.
• Supervise subcontractors by selecting and evaluating them, as well as monitoring and controlling their performance.
• Travel to site and supervise projects frequently.
• Grow existing client relationships and procure new accounts.
• Accomplish project goals by defining scope and purpose of the project, determining required resources, allocating resources, establishing protocols and standards, scheduling subcontractors/staff, resolving design problems, evaluating deadline estimates and adjusting as needed, and implementing change orders.
• Fulfill human resource needs by training, scheduling, assigning and coaching of field staff and any direct reports.
• Adhere to procedures and policies.
• Meet the construction budget, identify variances, and monitor project expenses.
• Approve projects by gaining approvals in bid scope vs. project requirements from buyers and performing inspections at critical phases.
• Prevent interruptions and fines by enforcing and fulfilling codes.
• Work with preconstruction team to conduct site surveys, establish scope and obtain required permits, including prescheduling for key inspections.

Desired Skillset:

· Educational Requirements: High School Diploma and/or GED
· License/Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License
· Years of Experience: 7+ Construction and 2+ at the Management level
· Preferred Skills: Computer proficient, with experience in Sage 300 Construction software, MS Excel, Project, and Word; Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation Range and Benefits:

$100,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually, in addition, project bonuses that can range from $0 - $100,000.00 annually based upon preset metrics. Compensation is offered based on work history, years of experience, professional achievements and other nondiscriminatory metrics and factors.
